Here are some activities to do with your students when you need a break or when they are just too tired. You can also use these as time fillers or as a bailout move when PQA or StoryAsking is not working (it happens to all of us!). These activities allow you to still provide Comprehensible Input while not using much energy.

2. Drawing – Teach the word draw in the target language and then give students a mini board, or butcher paper and let the fun begins! Spanish version French Version
3. Stoke Deck– A free website with fun warm-up activities. I translate the activitiy in the target language.
4. Word game– This is based on a game I saw my students playing on their phones. Two pictures will form a new word. It works better with upper level students.
5. Play Pacman- an easy and zero prep game. Pacman game with instructions

Hi. Thanks so much for sharing! Not sure if I am just tired this evening, but while I understand the two pics into one word, is there repetition of the sane words? The last couple of words /pictures with the many words, I am a little confused about how that works. Sorry if these are silly questions, again it’s getting late. Thanks !
Two versions of the same game. The first slide has more support (it includes the two words they need to solve the puzzle). The second slide has less support. Just the pictures, no words.

Hola Daiana,
Me encanta tu presentación de Dibuja. Me gustaría añadir otras páginas y cambiar unas cosas para que se ajusten más a mis estudiantes. Pero, no puedo copiar la presentación para poder modificarla. Pudieras compartirme una copia que yo pueda adaptar. Mil gracias 🙂
